(BUSINESS WIRE) – Office Depot partnered with the Miami Heat this morning to help more than 800 students at Riverside Elementary get ready for the school year. Office Depot and vendors Mead, Sanford and Topzip International provided hundreds of backpacks, notebooks, pens and other core school supplies to the students. Chris Quinn, Miami Heat basketball player, hands a backpack to a student on his first day of school.

At the Backstage Creations Celebrity Gift Retreat at Teen Choice 2009, celebrities autographed and designed backpacks provided by Office Depot and Sharpie’s “My Project Backpack” program to be given to patients at City of Hope, a leading research, treatment, and education center for cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening diseases.
